The Plot
After Spider-Man catches Wilson Fisk, a masked gang called the Inner Demons starts taking over Fisk’s criminal empire. Spider-Man and Mary Jane learn they are after something called Devil’s Breath. With Officer Jefferson Davis’ help, Spider-Man stops one attack, but during a public event, the Demons strike again, killing Davis. Peter sees their leader, Martin Li, turn into Mister Negative before being knocked out.
Mayor Norman Osborn brings in Silver Sable and her team to replace the police. Peter becomes friends with Davis’s son, Miles Morales, and gets him to help at the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. Meanwhile, Peter and scientist Otto Octavius work on advanced prosthetic limbs, but Osborn cuts their funding. Spider-Man discovers Devil’s Breath is actually a deadly bioweapon made by Oscorp. Li steals it but is stopped and sent to prison.
Octavius secretly builds powerful mechanical arms, but the device controlling them changes his mind and makes him angry at Osborn. When villains escape from prison, they team up with Octavius, now Doctor Octopus, who releases Devil’s Breath in Times Square. Many people, including Aunt May, get sick.
Spider-Man fights back, defeating the villains one by one.
